For Charles University in Prague we have designed a new graphic layout of the main website and created HTML and CSS templates. New graphics links typography and color scheme to the traditional visual style of Charles University. Thanks to responsive web design the pages adapt for displays of mobile phones and tablets.
Redesign of the website after launching a new version of the online magazine iForum represents the next step in the process of modernization of the internet face of the Charles University. Implementation priority was to combine the hundred years old tradition and rich history of the university with user-friendly configuration of information-rich pages.
Event calendar
Well-arranged calendar informs about the current events at the university including selected events of the seventeen faculties.
Black and white combined with color
The minimalist design of the website is made special by an effect that is applied to the photographs in the header of the pages. When placing a cursor on a black and white photo it will change into the color version.
Signpost layout with set of icons
For easier orientation we designed the page Study as a signpost formed by a set of 24 icons.
More than 50 000 students
Charles University was founded in 1348 and it is one of the oldest universities in the world. There are currently 17 faculties with more than 53,000 students in more than 300 accredited academic programs with 642 fields of study.
